As Lu Yuan thought, the five pouches were not ready until the evening of the next day and it was two days later when little Yan Tan had finished painting the cute versions of the dragons and the paint had dried.

Although Yan Tan had extraordinary talent in painting and music, it was the first time that he gave his paintings to others, especially to those beautiful big sisters who would call him “precious little cutie”. In fear that they would be ruined, he had to practice each design several times before he dared to paint it.

Lu Yuan grabbed his face.

The nights on Water Star are short, only about six hours in the summer, and even though it’s the end of August now, many of Water Star’s residents would be asleep at eleven. Although He Xing was not sleepy, he didn’t want to play house-like lurking and fighting with the dragon cubs.

He Xing looked at Shen Mian.
Although these little bastards won’t sleep when they’re in bed, at least they can be coaxed into their dormitory.

Dean Shen turned on the house robot, “It’s late now, go back to bed today and we’ll go out in a few days, okay?”

This was not his idea to cope with the sudden emergence of the dragon cubs. The cubs hadn’t been out of the centre for a long time. Although the dragon cubs were coaxed into their dormitory, just as He Xing thought, they really couldn’t fall asleep and laid in their respective beds whispering.

At around one in the morning, Yan Tan suddenly whispered, “I want to go to the toilet.”

Gian shook his head, climbed out of bed and held Yan Tan, “Then let’s go together.”

Lu Yuan suddenly became excited, “I want to go too! It’s so dark, just the right time to go exploring!”

Yan Tan, “But the toilet is very close.”

“It’s fine!” Lu Yuan whispered, “We can sneak over there, just like a short-distance drill! Didn’t Uncle He Xing say that their army often did drills in the middle of the night?”

So the three dragon cubs walked out of their dorm hand in hand and before they began their adventure, the door to the next dorm suddenly opened.

Shen Mian is wearing pyjamas, holding the dorm’s door and asked in a low voice, “What’s wrong?”

Lu Yuan whispered excitedly, “We’re going to explore!”

Gian quickly patted Lu Yuan, “…We’re not, dean, we’re going to the bathroom.”

Yan Tan gently flapped his wings, “Let’s hurry up.”

Gian hurriedly dragged Yan Tan to the bathroom. The bathroom was at the end of the corridor. Shen Mian leaned on the door, waiting for the three dragon cubs to finish using the bathroom, but he heard a scratching noise behind the door.

This sound was very familiar to Shen Mian. He opened the door; it really was the intellectually disabled version of He Xing. Finding the door open, the golden dragon immediately fell on Shen Mian’s hand, his tail wrapped around his wrist. His wings were wrapped around his palm and his head rested on the fingertips, closing his eyes and rubbed.

The scales had a metallic lustre and exquisite carvings were revealed in the not-so-bright natural light.

It was actually beautiful. Even if it was the reduced version of He Xing, every scale and feather was magnificent, beyond the reach of a human’s imagination. If it was the massive golden dragon itself, its beauty would be magnified to the extreme, it’s magnificent.

Shen Mian tapped the dragon’s head.

He Xing made a low sound and the tail wrapped around Shen Mian’s wrist tightened a bit more. His voice was deep, without the cadence of a cub, with the texture of a bass instrument. It perfectly suited Shen Mian, a purebred Chinese’s imagination of a dragon’s hum.

Shen Mian found it interesting and squeezed the dragon’s horn and shook the dragon’s head.

He Xing was overwhelmed. Shen Mian thought he was going back to bed, but He Xing hovered for a while, gathering his wings and landing on Shen Mian’s other hand.

Shen Mian, “…”

Wouldn’t it still be me even if you kept switching?

Shen Mian was about to pull out his quantum computer to take a picture of He Xing when he suddenly heard Gian’s voice, “Dean!”

Shen Mian’s face immediately turned pale and rushed into the bathroom. Both Gian and Lu Yuan were gathered around the bathroom window, on their toes while clinging onto the window to watch.

The window in the bathroom facing the backyard was wide open and when Shen Mian entered the bathroom, the black Yan Tan swooped down through the window just in time accompanied with the howls of a dragon. He carried a weak green dragon, spread his wings and flew back into the bathroom, dropping the green dragon on the floor.

Shen Mian, “…”

The green dragon was an adult tree dragon, larger than Yan Tan in terms of size, but when picked up by Yan Tan, it was almost impossible to fight back.

The strength of the mythical genus is evident.
Shen Mian put He Xing into his pocket and leaned over for a bit, “You’re the courier that came today, right?”

The tree dragon was so dizzy that he fell to the ground and cried out mournfully, “I am. I’m just passing by! Your cubs are too ignorant. I told you I’m just a tree dragon, you hurt me and I want to sue your centre! How do you teach your children? Every one of you large dragons is bullying us small dragons because of your size and natural strength.”

Gian was furious, “It’s obvious you ate the dragon grass! How could I bully you for no reason?”

Shen Mian hugged Gian and patted him, “It’s alright, Dean believes you.”

The tree dragon said,“Who said that! Do you have proof? Ouch- it hurts, I must have broken a bone! You’ll have to pay my medical bills! I was just passing by and took a look and you just hit me!”

Shen Mian took out his quantum computer and directly alerted the police via message.

The tree dragon’s eyes rolled back and he screamed at the top of his lungs, “I broke my leg! I’ll be disabled for life if I don’t get treatment! I’m going online to expose you large dragons who bully the weak.”

The three dragon cubs had never faced this kind of battle directly before and were momentarily stunned.

Yan Tan had a cry in his voice when he opened his mouth at the thought that he was the one who went down to catch him, “So what are you going to do?”

Tree dragon, “Pay up! Just pay and I’ll leave it!”

Shen Mian, “I just recorded the audio.”

The tree dragon froze.

Shen Mian, “You are suspected of burglary, being caught threatening underage dragon cubs and even extortion. I will hand over the evidence to the police along with the recording.”

The tree dragon suddenly panicked: He already checked. The surveillance in this centre’s backyard was obviously broken! Only the front gate’s surveillance worked otherwise he wouldn’t have chosen to come in through the backyard.

Although it was late at night, the Empire was quick to send out the police. Shen Mian’s message included a location and the police found that the accident occurred in a childcare centre in a remote area and immediately mobilised the police force to get to the centre as fast as possible.

Three dragons in human forms that were still frighteningly tall bent over into the bathroom and instantly the not-so-small area became cramped.

The lead officer has a serious expression, “Who called the police?”

Shen Mian raised his hand, “I did. I am the dean of this nursery and this tree dragon broke into the nursery late at night, frightened my three cubs and destroyed the centre’s cash crops. When he was captured, he still quibbled and intimidated the cubs, causing great trauma to them.”

The tree dragon said in a rush, “That’s bullshit! Do you have proof? I was just passing by! It was that black dragon cub of yours who grabbed me and beat me up, I couldn’t even fight back!”

Shen Mian, “You have the residue of the dragon grass on your teeth.”

The three officers simultaneously focused their attention on the tree dragon, one of them squeezed the dragon’s mouth open and saw green leaves on his sharp teeth. He immediately opened a case kit he carried with him, scraped it off with a cotton swab and placed it in an evidence bag.

The tree dragon was struggling, “Well I did pick some leaves… but his dragon cubs beat me too! I’m just a small tree dragon!”

The officer who took the physical evidence didn’t hold back his laughter immediately and shut his mouth, his face red when the lead officer gave him a hard stare.

The officer in charge of the records laughed in exasperation, “You came to the centre to steal something, got beaten up by a dragon cub and you still have the nerve to say it?”

Shen Mian, “Yes, you are a tree dragon that has reached an adult weight of over 300 pounds.”
