LBRDI Chapter 12

First Time Attending Class

Bonus ko-fi chapter

Just like He Xing said, Cat Eye Live really did recommend the theme of human and dragon harmony. The contract that Shen Mian sent back was delayed for two days on the road. On the day of arriving at the destination, Mars Sparks contacted Shen Mian and sent him a new event that anchors could participate in.

Mars Sparks: I have received the contract. Now both the physical and virtual contracts have been officially registered. Starting today, you can sign up for our various recommendation lists!

Cat Eye Live will launch the “People and Dragons You Idolised in Those Years” event on Wednesday. Now is the registration period. All signed and unsigned anchors can participate. The main theme is to show dragon and human culture or daily coexistence between them, so that the two civilisations can understand each other better and promote the harmonious coexistence of humans and dragons.

During the participation in this event, the daily live broadcast duration should not be less than three hours and must be related to the theme of the event. This event will have a recommendation list to increase exposure and there will be rich rewards.

Rank 99-1000 and below participation prize: 500 star coins

Rank 51-100 third-place prize: 1000 star coins and C-Level anchor contract. (If already signed, the contract will be upgraded, same for the prizes below)

Rank 11-50 second-place prize: 3000 star coins and B-Level anchor contract.

Rank 2-10 first-place prize: 5000 star coins, two-week channel recommendation and B-Level anchor contract.

Rank 1 special prize: 10 000 star coins, two-week homepage recommendation and A-Level anchor contract.

Such rewards are indeed very rich.

Mars Sparks: Dear anchor, your live broadcast content is highly consistent with this event, don’t miss this opportunity!

Shen Mian’s content is highly consistent with the event so it would be better to say they signed him just for this event.

Of course, Shen Mian will not miss this event. After replying, clicking the link and signing up, he started the day’s live broadcast.

Shen Mian’s live broadcast does not have a fixed theme. If it has to be said, it is the daily life of him and the dragon cubs. We don’t know if the dragon cubs are too cute or Shen Mian’s face is too beautiful. In just a few days, his audience had increased by several hundred.

The live broadcast room gradually gained true fans, plus the live broadcast time had been fixed. Every time you opened the broadcast, the number of viewers quickly changed from zero to hundreds.

Today was no exception.

As soon as Shen Mian opened the live broadcast, several morning greetings from the barrage floated across the screen.

Shen Mian nodded, “Good morning.”

[Death rays: Good morning dean, what’s the dean broadcasting today?]

[I hate nutrient solutions: I am a human. I was recommended here by a friend, I heard that there were little dragons to idolise here. Is the anchor a dragon? Which dragon species are you?]

[Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs: The anchor is the dean of this dragon childcare centre, a very alpha-like human little brother. The dragon cub in the centre is a gem dragon, he should be asleep right now.]

Shen Mian had also just finished washing. While making the bed, he skillfully took out a small golden dragon from the quilt and answered the barrage, “Today’s broadcast is a bit later than usual. They have already had breakfast and are washing their hands. Today’s broadcast is giving classes to the dragon cubs.”

Given that both dragon cubs have poor foundations and this is Dean Shen’s first time teaching, he could only start school two days in advance to adapt.

After He Xing absorbed the mana, he has maintained his human form for a longer time. He can return to normal every morning without relying on mana, but still can’t last for more than half an hour. At night, he often turns back as soon as he falls asleep, then struggles to wake up and flies to Shen Mian’s bed.

As the time he takes to maintain his human form gets longer, He Xing can also maintain a certain level of IQ while in dragon form, but it is still not high, it is at most from three years old to seven years old.

Shen Mian made the bed then left the dormitory with his quantum computer. He Xing will automatically recover IQ after a while, becoming a normal dragon.

[I heard there is light: The course for dragon cubs? Humans very much want to listen! What if I could raise a dragon in the future? The famous saying was right, people must have dreams.]

[Death Rays: They’re coming, the dragon cub education course I am most looking forward to is beginning! I want to watch the dragon cubs go to class!]

[Seventh Legion Super God: I-I… Do I, a 28-year-old adult dragon, have to listen to the lessons of cubs less than 8 years old? Ah, I’m ashamed.]

[As long as it smells like vanilla: I feel ashamed, but I really want to see, what do I do aahhh. I don’t care anymore, secretly listen with a holographic helmet.]

[Lao Tzu is the cutest in the interstellar: I wanted to say this a long time ago, do none of you thinks that the dean looks particularly ascetic with glasses? If he teaches… What kind of godly alpha is this!]

(t/n: ascetic – characterized by severe self-discipline and abstention from all forms of indulgence, typically for religious reasons.)

[Death Rays: The dean has never said he was an alpha.]

The number of viewers in the live broadcast room was gradually increasing. When Shen Mian put his quantum computer in the classroom, the number had grown to more than 13,000. Shen Mian’s live broadcast time is relatively fixed and his audience accumulated from his broadcasts, so there are many people watching the live broadcast.

Shen Mian went to call the two dragon cubs.

When they decided to start classes in advance, the two dragon cubs were informed of the decision. Gian had never taken a class before, his eyes showed excitement and his tail swung so fast that an afterimage almost appeared.

Lu Yuan’s appearance was cute, his ears fluttered and shook several times. He slowly lowered his head, touching something in his pocket.

Shen Mian narrowed hid eyes and pretended not to see.

Lu Yuan’s parents agreed to Lu Yuan’s participation in the live broadcast and Shen Mian also asked Lu Yuan’s opinion beforehand. Lu Yuan readily agreed, his eyes rolled around two times and discussed with Shen Mian, “I have already learnt Gian’s classes. Can I wait until Gian catches up to where I am before I start class?”

Shen Mian, “Did you pass the previous class?”

Lu Yuan’s ears fell flat, becoming listless, “No.”

So Lu Yuan, who had studied for one year, could only take classes with Gian, who had never taken a class before. There were only two sets of tables and chairs in the classroom, both of which were old. Fortunately, they were strong enough to withstand the scourge of two large baby dragons.

Unlike Gian, who was around ten catties and walked briskly, Lu Yuan’s footsteps were heavy. He slumped on the chair with his head hanging, the chair creaking.

[Unknown Flame: Is this also a dragon?! How come there are fluffy dragons? Or is it a pet?]

[Crown Prince’s Medal: Does your pet use books while taking classes? Us dragons have the velvet genus and none of the dragons in this genus grows scales but grows fur. This particular subspecies is rare. This is a spotted dragon, a large-sized dragon.]

[Death Rays: These semi-circular ears are hitting my heart hard, I sneakily petted, the fur is similar to a kitten, thin and soft.]

[Strawberry-flavoured nutrient solutions: You dragons are so amazing, you have all the looks that I like. The little dragon raised by the dean fills all my cuteness points, from colour to shape.]

When the barrage exclaimed about the marvellous velvet dragon, Shen Mian walked up to the podium.

The course he is teaching today is the most important one for young dragons and is also the only course taught in childcare centres from first grade to graduation – “Dragon Genus”.

Although Shen Mian opened the book, his eyes were not on the book. He already memorised the contents long ago, “The dragon race has a total of seven genera…”

Although his voice wasn’t loud, his words were simple and clear, he didn’t even drag the end of the words. His voice had a kind of icy penetration, like the person.

Gian listened attentively as he had never systematically attended classes. Although he knew these things, he had never been officially told so.

Lu Yuan was different. He wasn’t patient enough to listen. He piled a few books in front of him, dug around in his pocket, took out small pieces of paper and sandwiched them one by one between the book pages.

These beautiful little cards are actually part of an interstellar map of the Dragon Empire. Each puzzle piece has relevant interstellar knowledge written on them. The whole map has three thousand pieces and the complete map is a huge carpet.

“Dragon Genus” is divided into six volumes, each of which has pictures and the pages are large and thick, so it is easy to put the small pieces of paper in.

He was clever and marked all the pages Shen Mian was talking about with the pieces he had already read and also used the ones he hadn’t finished reading.

Lu Yuan loves these things, even if he can’t understand parts of them, he can silently ponder on them several times until he can recite them backwards.

Shen Mian walked off the podium while he was talking, using Lu Yuan’s table as support, “Are these things more interesting?”

There are two cubs in total, so of course, there is no situation that can’t be managed.

Lu Yuan was attentively looking at the card. Hearing his voice startled him and he quickly raised his head.

Dean Shen is looking down at his book.

Shen Mian asked politely, “Can I have a look?”

Lu Yuan wisely took out a few small cards and handed them to Shen Mian.

Shen Mian slowly raised his eyebrows, picked up Lu Yuan’s textbook, opened a few pages and took out all the pictures sandwiched in the cracks of the book one by one. Finally, he had a stack three or four centimetres stacked in his hand.

Lu Yuan’s expression gradually changed from OvO to QAQ.

Shen Mian patted Lu Yuan:,“These things of yours are leftovers from when I played with them. I will keep it for you first and wait for you…”

Lu Yuan quickly grabbed the edge of Shen Mian’s clothes, a few tears already coming out, “Dean-”

Shen Mian bent down, “Sorry, that won’t work.”

Little Lu Yuan was shocked, grabbing Shen Mian’s clothes, “B-but I have already heard the things the dean is saying, I just wanted to see something else.”

Shen Mian, “You have already heard it before?”

Lu Yuan quickly nodded.

Shen Mian, “Then can you recite it?”

He is talking about the focus of the exam. If Lu Yuan could recite it, he would not fail the two-semester classes.

Lu Yuan’s ears flattened, shaking his head.

Shen Mian squat down, put down the puzzle pieces in his hand, took out a piece and handed it to Lu Yuan, “You said you like this.”

Lu Yuan wanted to cry but endured it, sniffing and nodded: “Mhm.”

Shen Mian, “This planet is called Frosted White Star, also called Antler Star. Do you know why?”

Lu Yuan shook his head.

Shen Mian stood up, “Because this planet has a bad climate. The minimum temperature can reach negative 30 degrees, even in the inhabited area. When the dragon race did not have a unified empire, the whole planet was only inhabited by a race of antlered dragons. This is one of the characteristics of this planet. “

“You said you like the interstellar, but are you really reluctant to learn more about which dragon races belong to which planets?”

  2. Qiming may not have the fanciest equipment or the newest textbooks but the student:teacher ratio can’t be beat!

Looks like Lu Yuan’s first lesson is that you can’t slack off if there’s only one other student 😅
