LBRDI Chapter 56

Making it Known to the Public

[Lao Tzu is the cutest in the interstellar: That leaves Gian, Lu Yuan, Yan Tan, Xing Fei and Rhein. So who’s left?]

[A little fence: Reporting, there’s still Mr He.]

[Song of Rain: It is also known that Mr He is potentially the Crown Prince. So, the dragon cub is possibly the crown prince?! That’s not right, is it?]

[Water bottle: Wait a minute! Why did you exclude the dean? This newcomer is curious about the dean’s race, his human form doesn’t really show any dragon traits at all. Is he a flaming dragon? The human forms of their genus fit best with normal humans.]

[True or False: Look at what was previously said, comrade. The golden dragon cub had appeared with our dean. And our dean is a human (bursting with laughter), a purebred human with no dragon traits.]

[Two Tails: ???? Human? A human in a dragon childcare centre?! And he’s raising so many large-sized cubs? So strong, isn’t he afraid?]

[Xue Lulu: Don’t get the wrong idea about us humans… We’re not that timid and dragon cubs are short and stumpy, so you can’t really tell they’re fierce unless you fight them.]

[Writing a Thesis!: The topic is being diverted! We’re talking about who that little golden dragon is. Is it really Mr He? If not, where did that little dragon cub go?]

[South East: It’s unlikely… that golden dragon cub is a metal dragon, right? His Highness’s human form is so tall, how could his dragon form be the same size as that dragon cub? But if that little golden dragon really was the centre’s cub, there was no way the dean would abandon the little dragon pup.]

[A Fish Ball: I’m begging the anchor, my curiosity is getting the best of me. Not to mention, little dragon cub – do you know His Highness or not? I want to see His Highness wu wu.]

However, Dean Shen’s holographic glasses were on the table. He didn’t know that the barrages were saying anything. But he wouldn’t answer even if he knew – just before, he said that he didn’t know if “Mr He” was the crown prince and if he answered now, wouldn’t that be slapping his own face?

As soon as he brought the side dishes to the table, Yan Tan came to clock in.

Yan Tan hadn’t been around Shen Mian for the past few days to clock in- the little black dragon cub was busy painting his “family portrait” and finally finished painting on his new colours today.

Yan Tan walked to Shen Mian’s side and gently pulled Shen Mian’s clothes. When Shen Mian turned back, Yan Tan unfolded the paper in his hand.

“Dean, look!”

The paint in the painting had just dried. It was a refined reproduction of the painting that Yan Tan gave to He Xing, with a softer colour scheme and the lines seemingly adjusted.
Shen Mian looked into the bright eyes of the little dragon cub, reached out and rubbed the cub.

“It looks good. Let’s frame it and hang it in your dorm this afternoon, okay?”

Yan Tan rubbed against him.

“Then let’s send this picture to my uncle again, so he can show it to Livia when he gets back!”

Shen Mian nodded in agreement.
Whether it’s a human or a dragon, it’s a blessing in life to have a friend that you can always count on.

The dragon cubs had a fifteen-minute break after breakfast, after which classes would begin. Shen Mian put on his holographic glasses while they weren’t in class.

There was little interaction with the audience during his live broadcast, but not paying attention to the live room for such a long time was obviously not a practice that would maintain his popularity, so Shen Mian would still interact with the audience when he thought of it.

Shen Mian washed his hands and picked up his quantum computer to prepare to see what was being talked about on the barrage screen in the background. The water that was not wiped clean on his fingers dripped on the holographic screen and the barrage screen went forward several pages. Shen Mian only had time to see the few words that appeared most frequently, “What dragon cub?”

He subconsciously looked at the table. The little dragon cubs sitting on the edge of the table rubbing their bellies turned their heads to look at Shen Mian, their big innocent eyes blinking.

The barrage in the holographic glasses was so thick that Shen Mian had to pick up the quantum computer to see the current barrage:

[Death Rays: Dean, quickly explain what’s going on with that dragon cub, there are black fans in the barrage saying you abandoned them! You remember your assessment, don’t deal with it coldy!]

[A Fish Ball: Anchor look at me! What is the relationship between Mr He and His Highness!]

[Song of Rain: Don’t say random things! Our Qiming is a serious childcare centre. The dean would never abandon little dragon cubs!]

Shen Mian, “…”
He was also impressed with the humans’ and the dragons’ ability to think outside the box. They could rip it up with the effort of eating breakfast.

“The golden dragon cub,” Shen Mian paused, “He… Mr He took him away. He’s not a cub registered at Qiming, he came here by himself.”

Gian raised his short paw, “So, can Uncle He bring little brother when he comes back? Little brother doesn’t even leave the house in the centre. Now that we have Rhein, they must have a lot in common since they’re both from the dream dragon genus.

Lu Yuan looked around.

“Yeah, we originally had a little brother.”

Shen Mian, “…”
One lie really does take more lies to round out.

Neither Xing Fei nor Rhein had ever seen a golden cub before and tilted their heads in confusion – they came a little later. He Xing was already able to remain in his human form for long periods of time by then, only changing back for a little while as they slept through the night.

Yan Tan silently covered his mouth, afraid that he might accidentally slip something out.
He was a little dragon cub who was about to graduate from the mythical genus childcare centre and the first thing he learned about the dragon genus was the mythical genus. He was familiar with all the mythical genus dragon forms and of course, he knew Uncle He’s dragon form as well.

That night they caught the thief; as soon as the police uncles were sent away, he saw the small golden dragon flying out of the dean’s pocket. He immediately recognised it as the Geng Chen dragon of the mythical genus.

The appearance of a geng chen dragon after shrinking was very similar to that of a metal dragon. The audience had never seen a geng chen dragon before so they couldn’t tell the difference. Yan Tan, who has passed his studies, could. And there was only one other mythical dragon in the centre at the time, besides him, and that was Uncle He.

He just didn’t know why Uncle He had become so small. Probably because he wanted Dean to pay more attention to him.
To stop himself from speaking, Yan Tan took out a piece of candy from Lu Yuan’s pocket, unwrapped it and stuffed it into his mouth, deciding to keep this secret in his heart.

Little Uncle Yan Huan had said that all big dragons want to save face.

……

While Shen Mian was live broadcasting, he thought that he had successfully fooled the audience in the live room. He thought that the matter would come to an end, but what he didn’t realise was that there were always a bunch of media outlets that were looking for something to do-

Although neither the royal family nor Shen Mian directly responded to He Xing’s appearance in a childcare centre on a remote planet, an adult dragon identical to the crown prince did appear in Shen Mian’s live broadcast.

This story was on Reader’s hot search for two whole days. The public had gone crazy from curiosity, making all kinds of speculations – such as “The Royal’s secret twin dragons” or “Using plastic surgery to become the crown prince? Is it a coincidence or is it something else?” These ones were considered the good ones.

Shen Mian’s live broadcast would be in a state of traffic explosion as soon as it started. His Reader and Cat Eye Live accounts received a bombardment of private messages.

Of course, the unscrupulous media would not let go of such an opportunity and even found Shen Mian’s quantum computer number. They kept calling Shen Mian, trying to dig into the big news. Fortunately, if you complain about these numbers once, you’ll never see them a second time, otherwise, it would be troublesome.

Shen Mian ignored the news from the outside world and just sent a message to He Xing, asking him to take care of the troubles he left behind after dealing with the affairs in the military district.

Whether he wanted to publicise his own ying ying ying or pretend he didn’t know about the hot search, Shen Mian didn’t care.

He Xing reported his itinerary every day and last night, he told Shen Mian that he was going on a tour of the Seventh Legion and might not be able to contact the outside world for a short time.

Fortunately, the Empire had a complete set of laws regarding the safety of young dragons and no matter how much the outside world bombarded Shen Mian’s account, no dragon dared to directly harass the centre.

Shen Mian was not interested in the thoughts of the outside world, the only thing he couldn’t understand was the Royal Family’s official account – He Xing has been on the hot search for so long, but the other party had pretended to be invisible. There was no interview, as Shen Mian had imagined, and His Majesty the Emperor did not send “kind regards”.

Shen Mian thought for a long time and came to a conclusion: He Xing was probably picked up.

……

The “picked up Crown Prince” was currently in a wasteland on the Imperial Star.

As the marshal of the Seventh Legion, he didn’t have to stay in the military district every day, but inspections were still necessary. He was in a hurry to get back to Water Star, hating the fact that he couldn’t use the night as he would during the day, so he hurried and finished his inspection to go back to Water Star.

The Seventh Legion had always been a legion affiliated with the royal family, with a massive military base located directly in undeveloped areas. Two sets of network channels were implemented internally: one military and one connected to external networks.

When using a normal network, it was often interfered with by the internal military network, so it was no problem for the outside world to send information to them, but it was difficult to connect with the outside world from there. The internal military network could receive messages from the outside world smoothly, but it would indiscriminately intercept messages sent from the base.

He Xing was anxious to return. If he couldn’t contact Shen Mian, he didn’t want to deal with anyone else and was bored with military affairs. So it wasn’t until He Xing was on the returning starship that he noticed that his hot search had exploded and that the official royal family continued to play dead.

It was logical that a public relations department should have stepped in to quell the hot search in this situation, so why was it that the public relations department hadn’t moved at all after the hot search had been hanging around for so long?

He Xing, with a question mark on his forehead, immediately realised that Shen Mian may have been subjected to all sorts of harassment and immediately called the royal family’s exclusive public relations department.

The department head of public relations replied in a soft voice unique to the female Omega.

“Please be assured that we have intercepted some calls on the basis of trying not to disturb Dean Shen’s life and as long as Dean Shen complains about the harassment, we will block the number.”

He Xing, “Was it my father’s idea to handle it this way?”

The department head relayed the emperor’s reply, “His Majesty has asked me to convey to you that he supports you in selling your body and that you can give a discount if you can’t sell it and that there is also a dowry.”

He Xing raised his eyebrows.

“Then I will rest assured. I’ll post an update later, so remember to officially forward it, and by the way, help me ask Reader to certify me.”

He hung up and went onto Reader, switching to the centre’s account.

The centre’s account on Reader was usually run by him. He pulled a photo from the quantum computer’s gallery and edited it to become dynamic.

The picture was Yan Tan’s newly drawn family portrait and was sent to Yan Huan, asking him to remember to bring it to Livia. Yan Tan didn’t expect that Yan Huan and He Xing would both be in the training grounds when he sent the picture. Marshal He forcibly snatched Yan Huan’s quantum computer and saved the picture.

After posting the news on the centre’s account, He Xing logged on to his reader account and forwarded the centre’s news, along with the old family photo that Yan Tan gave him, with the words: Our little dragon cubs are really treated differently.

Shen Mian, who was far away on Water Star, was awakened by the vibrating sound of the quantum computer and opened it to see that it was a development posted by He Xing.

He clicked on it to make sure he hadn’t sent the development that had been forwarded by He Xing.

Shen Mian: ?

Whether he said to make it public or hide it was up to him but did He Xing want to engage in these kinds of self-directed shenanigans? So meticulous, was he actually part of the army’s literature and art troupe?
