LBRDI Chapter 38

Level of Difficulty

Bonus ko-fi chapter

There were banners of all kinds on the vehicles in the waiting area. They were of many different colours, but none like the one in the sky.

Towards the end of the exam, the media who were interested in doing interviews for the childcare teacher’s unified examination had all arrived and filled the open space in front of the high school. In a row of banners, a black cub holding onto a banner dominated the location and was particularly eye-catching. The cameramen have been raising the cameras in their hands to record the scene of the dragon cub ascending to confess to their childcare teacher.

For the first time in his life, Yan Tan was being pointed at by all kinds of cameras, and he looked down at He Xing at a loss for words – is this really okay? It feels so shameful.

He Xing was very pleased with the shots from all directions and praised Yan Tan, “Remarkable! It’s very imposing!”
If this wave of advertisement went well, his family’s dean would definitely praise him when he came out.

Yan Tan grabbed the banner with his front paws and tilted his head: Really?

He XIng nodded with certainty, “You can see it from a long way away, what a great advertisement.”

Yan Tan was successfully fooled, “Will there be many little dragon cubs coming to our centre to go to school in the future?”
There will be a lot of tuition paid, so Dean wouldn’t have to work so hard to live broadcast every day and could always play with them.

It wasn’t certain whether Dean Shen would praise He Xing after the exam, but the media on the scene did notice He Xing.

Thirty Minute Water was Water Star’s official media and was responsible for reporting the daily news. Things such as the unified examination for childcare teachers was certainly not ignored by the Thirty Minute media.

After all, the childcare teacher’s yearly examination attracted the attention of society. The centres use this opportunity to advertise themselves and the media also make statistics of the planet’s centres, so that parents who have cubs or are planning to have cubs can choose.

The reporter in charge for this year’s Thirty Minute media interviews was Nan Ting, who has been coming to the test centre for several years. He had seen so many advertisements for centres that he had lost the initial excitement.

The photographer who followed Nan Ting sighed, “We do the interview every year, it’s not like it’s a middle school or high school entrance exam for underage dragons, so where would we get attention? If we don’t have some fresh news this year, we’ll be scolded again by the young dragons for being uninspiring.”

Live broadcasts and videos on the StarNet are becoming more and more popular and traditional news programs such as theirs, which broadcast small household affairs, no longer fit the tastes of young dragons and have lost much of their younger audience. The news channel didn’t even have the attention of some of the pro-public security and the ratings kept dropping.

Nan Ting nodded with a sigh and was about to agree when he saw a red banner floating in the air through the window, with gold paint that said “Dean Shen Mian Shen, you are the light, the legend, Qiming Childcare Centre’s star!”

Looking further up, a black dragon cub hovered in the air, his claws holding the banner.

He was the most beautiful sight in the entire waiting area.

Nan Ting didn’t hold back his laughter, “Bwahahahahahahaha-”

The cameraman leaned over, “What are you laughing at? Is there anything new?”

Nan Ting reached out and pointed outside the window, “Look at that banner.”

The cameraman lowered the window and once he got a good look at the banner outside, he laughed out loud, “Who is this, so talented?”
He took a look and noticed that there was a tall adult dragon standing underneath the banner, very handsome, with several young dragon cubs by his side. If he filmed it and cut it into material for broadcasting, it should be easy to please the young dragons as well.

Nan Ting pushed the car door open and got out, “Come on, let’s go for an interview. We should be able to find some interesting material this time.”

Nan Ting was severely nearsighted and it was only when he got close enough that he realized the adult dragon standing beneath the banner was very handsome and perfectly suited the aesthetics of today’s little dragon girls. In particular, the adult dragon also held a little girl in his arms that was white as snow. At first glance, he thought it was a little human girl, but upon closer inspection, he could see the pointed little horns on the top of the head and the dark blue tail was held in her arms that was only a little exposed.

As bright as a sapphire.

Nan Ting hurried over, “Hello sir.”

He Xing turned around and saw the “Thirty Minute Water” logo on the Nan Ting’s microphone and knew at a glance that it was Water Star’s official media.
“Hello.”

Nan Ting smiled and asked, “Hello, I’m a reporter from Thirty Minute water, can I have a few minutes of your time for an interview?”

The cameraman quickly raised the camera to focus on He Xing, trying to get a clear shot of his front.

He Xing nodded, “Of course.”

Nan Ting, “May I ask for your name, sir?”

He Xing, “My surname is He.”

Nan Ting, “Is Mr He also from a centre sending their teachers to the exam?”
He walked in only to find that several of the dragon cubs were particularly cute. They were not impatient or wiggling frequently trying to leave like the other cubs with banners and were all cleverly holding Mr He’s clothes.

The green and gold gem dragon cub and the half-dragon cub even kept their eyes on the entrance of the test centre. Their eyes were filled with worry and he could tell that they missed the childcare teacher who was taking the test inside very much.

Nan Ting was satisfied: This is the real way to show that they really cared about their teacher and that they worry from the bottom of their hearts, unlike those dragon cubs who are forced to come here to act as a spectacle, “It seems the little dragon cubs are worried about their teacher.”

Lu Yuan decisively demolished the stage, “No, I’m not worried at all.”

Nan Ting, “???”

Lu Yuan, “That’s because your dean can do anything.”
The spotted dragon cub patted the gem dragon cub, “Our Gian and little sister Xing Fei are super school tyrants and Gian was actually taught by our dean, so our dean is even better.”

Nan Ting, “…”
This is not what I thought the script would be, shouldn’t this be the time to express your concerns and wish the teacher good grades?

Nan Ting maintained his smile, “What about Mr He? Is there anything you’d like to say to childcare teachers taking the exam right now? I heard that this year’s childcare teacher theoretical knowledge assessment scripts are more difficult. Does Mr He want to bless the childcare teacher good luck in the coming exams? They’ll be very happy when they come out after the exam and see the blessing.”

He Xing thought about it, “It doesn’t really matter whether you are blessed or not. Whether you get good grades or not has nothing to do with the blessing, it mainly depends on whether you have worked hard before the exam.”

“Of course, it doesn’t matter if it’s hard or not, because, for school tyrants, a difficult paper is just a convenient way to get points.”
He had seen Shen Mian going through papers. He could finish six papers in one night and each one of them was marked with an excellent grade.

Nan Ting was embarrassed, “…Mr He is making a very reasonable point.”
He felt that the interview was very tough and even kind of wanted to give up.

Just when Nan Ting found it difficult to carry on with the interview, the crisp closing bell sounded from the examination centre and the candidates walked out of the classroom one after another. The doors of the examination centre opened and the tired-looking candidates found their own vehicles.

The long-awaited media then grabbed a candidate for an interview. While Nan Ting hesitated to go to a candidate for an interview, a tall, thin figure walked straight through the group of dragons and soon approached.

Nan Ting squeezed through, “Hello, hello, I am a reporter from Thirty Minute Water, can I interview you? May I ask what you think of the difficulty of this year’s paper?”

Shen Mian’s eyes were all on that red banner and he expressionlessly answered him, “Not bad, the level of difficulty was at the point where half the candidates failed.”

Nan Ting, “???!”
